Travis Chan is a student at Johns Hopkins University majoring in Computer Engineering, minoring in Accounting & Financial Management as well as Entrepreneurship & Management, and graduating in May 2020. He has always been interested in business and engineering, which is why he is so fascinated with technology startups. Travis has launched two small businesses before, one for 3D printers and one for electric longboards. He has also worked as an engineering consultant intern at a small robotic startup and he will be interning as an Internal Controls intern at NRG Energy during the summer of 2017. On campus, Travis is involved in a design team that hopes to advance communication between nurses and patients in underprivileged countries. He also holds the position of Entrepreneurship Chair in Alpha Kappa Psi, the Co-Ed Professional Business Fraternity, where he leads pledges through the basics of startups. After receiving his undergraduate degree, Travis hopes to enter the venture capitalism space as an analyst and/or potentially launch his own startup.
