Simran Suri

Simran is a member of the Class of 2020 and is double majoring in International Studies and Sociology, as part of the Global Social Change & Development (GSCD) track. On campus, Simran is a member of Alpha Phi and a mentor for Women in Business. She also spent a semester working at Predata, a Hopkins-affiliated startup embedded in the intersection of AI and geopolitical strategy. Simran spent her sophomore summer working at Credit Sights, a credit research firm based in NYC, and covering the tobacco, chemicals, and medical device sectors. For her junior summer, Simran will be moving to Austin to work at Vista Equity Partners’ consulting arm, Vista Consulting Group, where she will work with the firm's portfolio companies. Simran's interest in A-Level stems from her passion to increase representation for women in business, particularly in VC. She also hopes to eventually combine her work at A-Level Capital with her interest in emerging economies in order to promote development-based entrepreneurship. Outside of work, Simran enjoys trying new recipes, perusing the depths of SoundCloud, and reading the Modern Love section of the New York Times.
