Sam Eckstein is an associate at Gryphon investors, a private equity firm in San Francisco. At Gryphon, Sam focuses on new investment opportunities in the consumer sector. Before joining Gryphon, Sam was an analyst at Jefferies, an investment bank in New York City.
Sam is also the co-founder of Springbone Broth, a new retail food concept in New York City and is an angel investor in early-stage food ventures. He serves as an adviser to small businesses in San Francisco through the organization BusinessAdvising.org. He is the chair of the AEI30 San Francisco chapter, is a member of the Johns Hopkins Finance Mentoring Network and was a member of the Hertog Young Professionals Program in Washington D.C. Sam earned a BA with honors in East Asian studies from Johns Hopkins University and studied at Tsinghua University in Beijing.
