Patrick Huie is a Sophomore studying Computer Engineering and Applied Math & Statistics at Johns Hopkins University. He is the Director of MedHacks, a 40 person student team that organizes the world’s most celebrated collegiate hackathon at the center of technology and medicine. He is also a partner at A-Level Capital, a student run venture fund focusing on Seed and Series A companies, and a securities analyst with the Marshal L. Salant Investment Team, an undergraduate team managing a long-only equities portfolio of over $275,000. Patrick spent his freshman summer at Vertex Pharmaceuticals, the leading Cystic Fibrosis biopharmaceutical company, as a software engineer focusing on natural language processing and data science. For his sophomore summer, he will be working at Medtronic, the world's largest Medical Device company, as a product manager. In his free time, Patrick enjoys working out, playing intramural soccer and basketball, and staying up to date on the latest healthcare and tech news.
