Emily Lee is a sophomore, double majoring in Biophysics and Molecular & Cellular Biology. As a Child Life Volunteer, Emily had first hand exposure to the clinical environment. This sparked her drive to lead an education reform initiative in collaboration with Director of Pediatric Surgical Education at Johns Hopkins Children's Center. Armed with $50,000 in Innovation Grant funding, Emily and the Surgical Education team will implement measures to expedite resident integration and improve patient communication. This summer, Emily will be researching live cell dynamics of transcription factors through single molecule imaging under the BDP Summer Undergraduate Research Program. She also has a strong interest in biotechnology, specifically the emerging applications of genetics in fields beyond personalized treatment. Emily's passion for entrepreneurship led her to A Level Capital, where she enjoys meeting and learning from brilliant entrepreneurs navigating the medical technology, SaaS and AI spaces.
