Widely believed to be the only marketing professional in NYC who has also passed four actuarial exams, Efrem "Ef" Epstein (JHU KSAS '90) is excited to be a mentor for the A-Level Capital Team and work at the intersection of two of his passions: Innovation and Hopkins. Over the last two decades he has worked for several national public relations firms and has served as Director of Public Relations for startups in the technology, advertising, telecommunications and B2B spaces.
Ef is also the founder of Elijah's Journey, a 501c3 focused on Suicide Awareness & Prevention in the Jewish community and serves on the National Action Alliance for Suicide Prevention's Faith Communities Task Force.
Widely sought out as a speaker, media trainer and contributor, Ef has spoken at the Society of Actuaries Annual Meeting, led continuing education sessions for the Actuarial Society of Greater New York and his writings have appeared several publications including the New York Post, Entrepreneur, iMarketing News and Actuary of The Future. A true "jack of all trades" Ef recently finished 9th in the national finals of the International Adult Bible Contest. As a die-hard Philadelphia Eagles fan, Ef takes great pride that a 2013 Philadelphia Inquirer Headline that "(Eagles Former Head Coach Chip) Kelly's Innovative Ways Began At Johns Hopkins 20 Years Ago."
