Alex has always been interested in the confluence of business and technology. A computer science and mathematics major by trade, Alex seeks opportunities where he can leverage his quantitative skills to help businesses grow. As a freshman, he cofounded the TAMID Group at JHU, which has become one of the largest business groups at Johns Hopkins. As a sophomore, Alex helped lead A-Level Capital and had the privilege of working with an incredible team, making investments in capital efficient, early stage companies. He’s pursued experiences ranging from software and research engineering to business development, and most recently, he interned at a VC firm that invests in financial technology companies across emerging markets with up to $3 million per transaction. Alex also works with Sequoia Capital as an Ambassador to help increase Sequoia’s exposure on campus and to bring Sequoia insights and experience to the Hopkins entrepreneurial ecosystem. Alex spends his free time mentoring underserved students in Baltimore’s inner city and playing on the Division II Hopkins Rugby Team.
